Para Español oprima aquí. 2012-2013 Schools in Need of Improvement - Campus LevelTexas Education Agency (TEA) must identify for school improvement any campus that fails to make adequate yearly progress (AYP) for two consecutive years for the same indicator; math, reading, attendance and/or graduation rate.
The School Improvement Program (SIP) provides supplemental funds to Title I campuses identified for school improvement. A student attending a Title I low-performing school must be provided the option to transfer to another public school within the local education agency (LEA), unless the LEA lacks the capacity to do so, and eligible students must be offered Supplemental Educational Services (SES).

 Parent Resource CentersThe McAllen ISD Parent Resource Centers were created by the district to be a source of support and information for parents and families, to offer parents encouragement and support, and to share ways to work as a team with the child's school so the child can be prepared for his or her future.
Workshops are provided on a variety of topics including Organizational and Study Skills, Parenting Topic, ESL classes using the Rosetta Stone Program, Understanding Supplemental Programs, and more. A Parent Training Specialist is assigned to each center to assist parents with any assistance they might request. For more information contact the Parent Training Specialist at your campus or the State and Federal Programs office at (956) 632-5192.
Skyward Student and Family AccessSkyward Family Access is a web-based product that will allow parents to be more connected with their children's academic progress and to update information over the internet.
